I am an engineer and writer of science fiction novels. I enjoy combining real science and engineering with intricate plotting and nuanced characters. I have two degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford and hold several patents in industrial robotics and computer vision. Originally from California, I live in Tokyo, where I continue research and development work in robotics in addition to writing.
